Diane Warburton

Hello. I'm Diane. I've been sewing since high school days when my teacher Mrs Rowlands helped me make cakes for competitions and also many different sewing projects including a velvet penguin and a purple jumpsuit, which I absolutely adored and bought a hat to go with it. I was living the 80's dream in my perm. I then went on to become a teacher myself but in the primary sector mainly. More recently I sewed up many things for my daughter's baby room, from nappy bag hanger to cot bumper. She's 20 now and studying to be a nurse!
My interest in patchwork begun around 9 years ago when I made a cushion cover. I signed up for an American Civil war quilt online course and even though, not my style at all, I used my own fabrics and just used the block construction methods to make them fit in with my likes.
I only moved to the Wirral in November, after having run a sewing studio for workshops and sewing days for 3 years. I'm now keen to get into the Wirral sewing world and pass on my passion for patchwork, quilting, bag making and home decor. One of my mottos is making is connecting. I look forward to many new creative connections
