International Lecture - David Owen-Hastings: Minimal Design, Maximum Impact

This event takes place on 21st May 2022 from 4:00pm to 5:30pm and will take place at Your own home - via Zoom!. It is a Guild event being organised by Jan Haywood, .

David Owen-Hastings is a modern quilter, graphic designer, print and textile artist. He creates richly layered contemporary artwork and modern minimal quilt and textile designs. For over 20 years David has exhibited his stitched paper artworks in galleries and juried shows alongside, working exclusively with non-profit organisations on branding and communications.

As a lifelong knitter and sewist, David is entranced with the world of modern quilting. He creates contemporary designs for quilts and everyday items that he elevates with his own unique approach. He also has a passion for fabric dyeing, printing and manipulation.

In his lecture “Minimal Design, Maximum Impact”, David looks at how the modern quilt movement is evolving and changing while still retaining the elements of simple and spare design, combined with thoughtful quilting.

Region 6 members should email Jan Haywood to secure one of Region 6's allocated tickets for this event and for payment information.
