Young Quilters Events

Young Quilters Mini Workshop – 10.30am-1.00pm Saturday 23rd July 2016 – @ Village Fabrics, Wallingford. Cost - £5 

Aimed at young quilters from 9-14 years of age, this class provide a 2 ½ hour creative session encouraging children in their adventures with textile art. This class is called “Beside the Seaside” and in it we will make small quilted wall hangings using applique techniques to build up the pictures. At the end of the class the children will have the option to submit their pieces into the Festival of Quilts in the Summer of 2016. There are 8 places available in this class. All class materials are supplied.

Aimed at young quilters from 9-14 years of age, this class provide a 2 ½ hour creative session encouraging children in their adventures with textile art. This class is called “Draw & Stitch Pictures” and in it we will make small quilted wall hangings using fabric crayons and then sewing over and around your pictures with the sewing machine and quilting stitches. There are 6 places available in this class. All class materials are supplied. Booking available through the Quilters Guild website.

Young Quilters Mini Workshop – 10.30am-1.00pm Monday 15th August 2016 – @ GillyMac Designs, Maidenhead. Cost - £5 

Aimed at young quilters from 9-14 years of age, this class provide a 2 ½ hour creative session encouraging children in their adventures with textile art. This class is called “Wonky Houses” and in it we will make tablemats for the Young Quilters to take home with them. They will learn how to sew these houses using both foundation piecing and applique techniques. There are 6 places available in this class. All class materials are supplied.
